While women have high prominence in popular music styles, such as pop and R&B, male figures tend to dominate in the rock genre. The reason for this is because of its association as a form of male rebellion. Due to that fact, there is a lack of female representation in the rock music scene. 

From this, Belladonna seeks to represent influential and inspiring female bands in the rock, alternative, and metal scene through a music festival.

THE NAME is inspired by its literal meaning—a purple berry whose seeds contain a lot of alkaloid. It has a long historical use as medicine, cosmetics, and poison. In summary, it is a plant that can glamorize and kill.

Belladonna is a beautiful and deadly woman, just like the women of rock.
